The next chapter began in 2020…

Centro opened its second location in the wonderful town of Pawleys Island in March of 2020. Unfortunately, this was about two weeks before the pandemic swept across the nation, so it was a tough first year for us (and for everyone). Fortunately, we were able to survive and even prosper in the few years we have been open in Pawleys Island.

We heard from some local friends that Palm Collections, a locally owned shoe and clothing boutique was closing. We loved their location right on Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island and came to terms with the landlord shortly after looking at the space. It is located right across the Highway from the Fresh Market shopping center.

This location is somewhat smaller than our Market Common location, and the backroom is much smaller, but we have been able to put most of our current shoe and clothing styles in this great storefront. We have also been able to include a wonderful closeout/sale area in the rear of the Pawleys Island store for lots of great deals that everyone loves!

We renovated the space and rearranged it to meet our needs. We mounted lots of shelves on the wall and in the back room, updated the fitting rooms and have been growing this location ever since.

The locals love having a Centro Shoes right in their backyard. Lots of wonderful ladies come by everyday to enjoy looking and buying the latest offerings at Centro Shoes. Our staff is always ready to help you find a great fitting and stylish pair of shoes, or a great new outfit for everyday or for that special occasion.

Being the best shoe and clothing boutique in Pawleys Island means a lot to us. However we don’t want to rest easy on what we have created and are always striving to make our Pawleys Island location better than ever.

It took us a while to get the amount of clothing and shoes in Pawleys Island to near the amount of merchandise we have at the Market Common ‘flagship’ location.

We have lots of great jewelry options as well, including Sheila Fajl hoops, lots of great pieces from Sorelli jewelry, Inspired Designs, Old Soul Jewelry, Tagua Jewelry, and some unique pieces from Vintage to Vogue designs.

Our Pawleys Island shoe store offers some of the best shoes from Jeffrey Campbell, All Black Footwear, Sam Edelman, Miz Mooz, AS98, Kork Ease, Pikolinos, Chocolat Blu, Taos Footwear, Seychelles, BC Footwear, Vince Camuto, Donald Pliner, Johnny Was, Fly London, Koko & Palenki, Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole, Ilse Jacobsen, Bed Stu. We strive to offer seasonally appropriate style from these lines, including sandals, boots, sneakers, flats, wedges, heels, and all the other footwear styles you need.

Clothing lines are similar to our Market Common Store. We offer a wide selection of styles from the amazing Johnny Was, Hale Bob, Magnolia Pearl, Tolani, Sanctuary, Liverpool LA, Gentle Fawn, Sanctuary, XCVI, Wearables, Ivy Jane, Uncle Frank, Sister Mary, Michael Stars, Stitch and Needle, Love Token, and others.

We love great quality handbags and stock a great variety of bags from the amazing Bed Stu and Hobo companies. Handbags are all around the store, on shelves and on outfits throughout the store.

Being a great women’s clothing and shoe store in Pawleys Island means we are also close to the wonderful City of Georgetown. Lots of amazing women make the short drive up from Mount Pleasant and Charleston to shop at Centro Shoes in Pawleys Island. Every year we get lots of visitors from all over the world who love the cool, coastal vibe of Pawleys Island and love shopping the local boutiques like Centro Shoes. Ladies in Murrells Inlet are lucky in that they are close to both Centro Shoes locations, often going to one or the other depending on their mood. The Pawleys Island store is a bit more of a mellow vibe when compared to our Market Common store.
